All-American Girl by Meg Cabot

10. Her big sister is the most popular girl in school
9. Her little sister is a certified genius
8. She's in love with her big sister's boyfriend
7. She got caught selling celebrity portraits in school
6. And now she's being forced to take art classes
5. She's just saved the president of the United States from an assassination attempt
4. So the whole world thinks she's a hero
3. Even though Sam knows she is far, far from being a hero
2. And now she's been appointed teen ambassador to the UN
and the number one reason Sam's life is over?
1. The president's son just might be in love with her

This was the second time (or third?) I read this book. This book is a little (just a wee bit) unrealistic...but that just makes it even more fun.
This is what many people dream about... and Meg Cabot has done it again. All-American Girl is about those who do unexpected good things...sometimes REALLY good things, and how we're acknowledged for it. But what I really liked about how Meg Cabot wrote this book, is that it captures real emotions. Sam doesn't just become one big happy person and accept all that changes in her life. She goes through a tough time, become Teen Ambassador, standing up for what she wants and what's important for herself.
This is one of Meg Cabot's finest, and it was an amazing series, with a one-of-a-kind hero that we all wish we could be.
