Top Ten Books I'd Like to See Made into a Movie

As you might know, I am a movie fanatic, so this should be fun :)

★★★★★

1. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. Aparently, this one was supposed to be come a movie, but unfortunately they canceled it. WHY?!?! It would have been a totally amazing movie :( Just hope for the future that they pick it up again.

2. Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. A book I've continuously read over and over again since I was 11, I want this one to become a movie so badly!! I'm in love with Stargirl :).

3. Here, There Be Dragons by James A. Owen. OMG. I'll drastically die if this never becomes a movie in my lifetime. This book series is what I practically love about fantasy. Original and never boring. It would be a totally epic fantasy!

4. The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa. As one of my favorite series like, EVER, I wish it so.

5. The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. A twist to Alice in Wonderland? Count me in! Another amazing fantasy movie. And if it were produced by Tim Burton who made the new Alice in Wonderland movie, EEEEPPPPPP!!

6. The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. This one would be especially thrilling, deadly, and suspenseful. I can already picture it! Somebody make it into a movie fast...

7. The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. I don't want this to be a movie, but a TV show. I think it's because it's quite similar to Gossip Girl in a way...except historical :P the scandals, the betrayal, the love– THE DRAMA!

8. Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Following in the wake of The Hunger Games, this one I would totally love to see. (hahaha get it? Love is a disease in Delirium? Ahhh...I kill myself)

9. Secrets of My Hollywood Life by Jen Calonita. Like The Luxe, I'd like to see this one as a TV series, because there's a LOT of material which can be used as 40-minute shows :D.

10. Teen Idol by Meg Cabot. I didn't like the movie adaption of Avalon High because they changed, like, EVERYTHING, so I'm a little bit (more) touchy about this one, because I LOVE this book.

And that's all for today! I'm a little scared though, that if they do become movies, that they also can become bad movies. There's of course the rare gems, such as The Hunger Games and the Harry Potter movies, but still... they should always ask the author to work with them, if you ask me. Anyway.

What's your top ten?

  1. Ah, Teen Idol. That is my favourite Meg Cabot book, by far.
I know what you mean, if done the right way, I think that would make an amazing movie, especially after the Princess Diaries...
