The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
Who is Jenna Fox? Seventeen-year-old Jenna has been told that is her name. She has just awoken from a coma, they tell her, and she is still recovering from a terrible accident in which she was involved a year ago. But what happened before that? Jenna doesn't remember her life. Or does she? And are the memories really hers?
I was wandering around the bookstore, waiting for a while. I had a few hours on my hands and I was just browsing for books when I came across this book. The cover is eye-catching definitely, so I check the blurb and it seemed like I book I would like. I thought I would just read a few chapters of it and then look for something else.
I couldn't stop reading it.
It has a very beautiful and devastating context. It's science-fiction and realistic-fiction rolled into one. It's different from other books, and I couldn't get it out of my head. I unfortunately had to leave, but then I went to the library and borrowed it. It's very deep and suspenseful as she goes deeper into the past and discovers the secrets of the accident, and the truth behind her parent's worries.
I really liked how it had a short amount of characters, which lead to me understanding the book more, and getting in depth with it, rather than have a book with so many characters, the only thing I understand is what's mainly happening to the main character.
The action just rises with every chapter into the book. Read it!
