Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison

There are six things very wrong with my life:

1. I have one of those under-the-skin spots that will never come to a head but lurk in a red way for the next two years.

2. It is on my nose

3. I have a three-year-old sister who may have peed somewhere in my room.

4. In fourteen days the summer hols will be over and then it will be back to Stalag 14 and Oberfuhrer Frau Simpson and her bunch of sadistic teachers.

5. I am very ugly and need to go into an ugly home.

6. I went to a party dressed as a stuffed olive.

In this wildly funny journal of a year in the life of Georgia Nicolson, British author Louise Rennison has perfectly captured the soaring joys and bottomless angst of being a teenager. In the spirit of
Bridget Jones's Diary, this fresh, irreverent, and simply hilarious book will leave you laughing out loud. As Georgia would say, it's "Fabbity fab fab!"

This book was HILARIOUS. Like, laugh-out-loud funny. Although, I didn't get the British References, like some of the words, it was still funny. (and yes, I did look at the "dictionary" at the back of the book, but there were still somethings I just couldn't understand)

Georgia as a character yes, could be compared to Bridget Jones. She's hilarious and does the most awkward things at the wrong time. Things just seem to happen to her, whether she likes it or not. But Georgia can also be kind of a snob I guess. I mean, she's really concerned with how she looks all too much and isn't really exactly the kind of girl that readers would die to trade places with. Although I do love Robbie the SG.

I didn't get what Angus was when I first read the title. I was like, 'Angus Beef?' and then I'm like (when I read it), 'Ohhh...its the cat >_<'. Thongs...well, yeah I get it. And Full-Frontal Snogging. Thank Gods for Harry Potter that I actually knew what snogging was, otherwise I'd be like a loser, looking at the back of the book for a definition. No offense to those who don't know what it is.

Libby is adorable. I swear, she's so cute, with some of the things she says. Loved her version of "Dancing Queen" (That's in the 3rd book though) and how she is the only one who can do things and play with Angus, as Georgia describes herself combating Angus with various tools of sorts, including a spade and a shovel.
Jas is okay I guess. Kinda the dumb one of the group if you ask me. Not that it was so secretive in the book though. I kinda like Tom though...he seems much better than Robbie if you ask me. More age-appropriate, as Georgia is going for a guy thats, what? 3-4 years older than her (he's around 17 right?). I mean, it wouldn't happen to a random person everyday, but whatevs.

Anyway, I really wanna see the movie now, heard it's supposed to be good. I watched the trailer and Robbie looks finnnee :D
