I've had this one on my shelf for a LONG long time, and I didn't bother picking it up until the third (and final) book, Forever, had been released.

OH THE GODS. HOW I REGRET IT!

I have completely been missing out on this sequel– I can't believe it. I re-read Shiver before reading this one (to refresh my memory), and I loved this one just as much. Maybe even more. It was so intense. I was GLUED. Literally. This book is SO worth the read. Forget about Twilight if you've got some grudge against it. Give the wolves of Mercy Falls a try (Haha. Get it? The Wolves of Mercy Falls is the series' name. AH, I'm hilarious).

The change in perspectives is refreshing. I mean, in Shiver they did have a dual perspective: Sam and Grace's. In Linger there are two more views thrown into the mix. Isabelle's and Cole's. Loved it– amazing. Honestly, I was starting to love their POV's better than the original two!
Of courae, I love Sam and Grace. I totally (and I hate using this word, but I have no clue what else to put) SHIP them. If you don't know what that means, which I didn't until it was all over the place at school, it means that I love their couple-ness. I'm head over heels for Sam, and I wish I could be Grace. GAH. Unfortunately, life isn't fair sometimes...
*(this isn't too much of a spoiler, since it's mentioned in the blurb)* And I'm totally "shipping" (ick, hate that word) Isabel and Cole as well. When their relationship blossoms, it's much more not-delicate-as-Sam-and-Grace's which is pretty awesome.

One thing that I really hated in this book was Grace's parents. Um, okay. I liked them enough in the first book, but they were really annoying me in this one. The constant yelling, the prohibiting of things (Oh, how we teens love that...not). It was throwing off the story a little bit, but other than this, as you've read above me fangirling, the rest of the book is good.
The ending! I should have totally seen it coming. I tried to stay away from reading Forever's blurb, but there's clues in the cover that does give it away. But oh the gods, the ending was phenomenal. A huge twist which will blow you away folks.

I don't know what to say. I think I've run out, but here's the final line: Linger is amazing, breath-taking, and mind-blowing. I'm eagerly waiting to get my hands on the final installment, although I'll be sad to see it end. ANY-HOO, to those of you who haven't read this series: please do. You'll regret not at least giving it a chance.

I love this book. No, wait. Scratch that. I ADORE this book. I think Shiver as well as the rest of the series is one of the best werewolf YA books out there. The love, the challenge, the stakes. Amazing! I don't know why I've never reviewed this book. Well, obviously I'm pretty sure that this had been read before I created this blog :P
When I first picked this one up, I was actually waiting for my mom at Walmart, while she was shopping for some stuff. I (naturally) went to the book section and a book with a GORGEOUS cover was waiting there. How could I resist? Only one problem: werewolves. I mean, the Twilight thing was still going, and I was pretty much sick of reading about vampires and werewolves. But in the end, the cover really got to me and SURPRISE, I bought it. Went home, and started reading. Couldn't. Stop. And thus, it became one of my favorites. I re-read it recently (and thus the review was born!) because I'd just bought Linger and I needed to read it once more to refresh my memory.


Grace. Oh, Grace. How I envy you. Love her personality and her headstrong ways, she is one of the most amazing main characters in YA lit out there. (and lucky her, she gets Sam!)
Speaking of which, I've had this really long-time crush on Sam. Love his yellow eyes to his love for music and of course, his wolf-like nature. *Sigh*...I want a Sam!
Isabel. OMG, love her. I want to BE her. Seriously, she's the snarky yet reliable (and hilarious!) supporting character. I mean, at first she's pretty icy, but then once you get to know her, things really get going. The tie between her and the story of Sam and Grace really all fit and make things turn out quite differently...


I really like how we see the perspective of Sam and Grace alternatively. We can first see the flashback from when Grace was first with the wolves and then from then on it's the present point of view with Sam as a wolf and Grace as a human watching him...watching her. I really like how they add the temperature on the chapter headings, so we can see how the temperature effects Sam's state of being. I know, nerdy :P but it's different!
Another thing I found really cool was that the color of the ink used is usually the color of the color. I think for Linger it's the same (I have the UK cover, which is black, so the ink is...black) with the green ink and such. Just thought it made things more interesting.


Shiver is beautiful. The cover, the detail, the love–everything. I found myself wanting to have a wolf-like nature, and cheering on Sam to stay human. Stiefvater has revolutionized werewolves and made them evermore popular (and more lovable than vampires) with this novel. I've read Linger, and a review should be coming soon, and it is SO good.. Each book gets better and better than it already is!

What are you currently reading?

I just started Lost Voices by Sarah Porter, as it was released 2 days ago, so I really need to hurry and read that one! The Ivy by Lauren Kunze with Rina Onur, I'm reading so that when I go to India in a week and a half I don't need to carry so many books...and that way I'll have much more room in my bag to buy more books! :D

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater for the 2nd time, as I have Linger, but because I read Shiver quite a while back, I've kinda forgotten everything that's happened before!

What do you think you'll read next?

I've got Nerd Girls: The Rise of the Dorkasaurus by Alan Lawrence Sitomer, but I don't know if I'll have to time to read it. It got released yesterday, so then I'll need to hurry!
