Top Ten Tuesday - Week 16

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Today's top ten is: Top Ten Authors I'd DIE to Meet. This is pretty cool, since I got to meet Lauren Kate recently (check out that post here)! Well, here we go:

(This is in no particular order)

1. Meg Cabot. I've been reading this author's books since the 6th grade. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet her. She's one of the Queen of Teens and I would totally scream if I ever did get to see her. EEEK!

2. Sarah Dessen. I've just been recently introduced to this QoT, but love her books! I would really love to meet her. Still need to get my hands on What Happened to Goodbye though!

3. J.K. Rowling. Can't believe I just thought of her! I would love to meet this BRILLIANT woman, and totally can't wait to go see the movie this thursday! (got first day tickets :D) So sad it's ending though :(.

4. Cassandra Clare. Okay, I have Clockwork Angel signed BY her, but my dad went to that signing, not me! I was here in Singapore and when he was still working in Toronto I BEGGED him to get me the book signed. And so...I just hope I do go to one of her signings in the future.

5. Suzanne Collins. Oh.EM.GEE. She has started a revolution for dystopian books. The Hunger Games is one of my FAVE books of all time.

6. Jay Asher. Loved Thirteen Reasons Why! It remains one of my fave books today and I would love to meet the genius behind the words :).

7. Stephenie Meyer. Yeah, yeah, I know what y'all are thinking. But I would still love to meet her, the woman who started a Vampire vs. Werewolf war!

8. Enid Blyton. Read her books when I was a kid and I would love to go back in time and meet her. Her Famous Five series was seriously one of the best adventure/mystery books I've read in my first decade of living.

9. Hergé. Okay, well he's a comic book writer, but I really want to know what would have happened in his unfinished Tintin and the Alpha Art. I've got the sketches and stuff, but I want to know what happens in the end! Can't wait for the movie to come out as well :D

10. James A. Owen. Okay, I think this is one of the books I've read the most. Here, There Be Dragons I studied in Grade 8 English, and I've read it around 5 or 6 times. I freaked out 'cause there were so many amazing allusions and references to other works in this book! Need to read the fifth book...can't wait for the rest of 'em!
That's my TT Tuesday for this week! Who are the top ten authors you're dying to meet? Leave a link to yours or comment!

  1. I would love to meet Meg Cabot too, but I forgot to add her to my list. I love that you made your dad get a book signed for you. I wonder if he felt silly amidst all those squealy girl fans.
