To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that enter-ing the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost? Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments. It was a really amazing book (Personally I think the first and last books of series are most of the time the best) and it was, like, full of turns and twists that you don't really expect what's going to happen in the book. Many different elements are thrown into the book, so it does DEFINITELY keep readers gripped till the end.
I found it really surprising with many different twists, but I always knew what would happen in the end between Jace and Clary :). This author though, is really amazing and she totally has a way with words to captivate the reader.
I cannot WAIT till City of Fallen Angels, when they continue Simon's story and OF COURSE, The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel....SO EXCITED!
Totally will write another review soon! Bye till then!
I finished this book last night...& let me tell you...I sighed a HUGE sigh of relief that Jace & Clary could be together. :) I definitely agree that the first and last books of the series are the best, so we'll have to see about CoFA. It might have a tough time topping all of the drama & action in CoG though. Thanks for the review! Feel free to come check out our blog. I'll probably be reviewing this book soon as well! You have a new follower!
