I've been seeing a couple of movies lately, and I thought it would be cool to have a meme where I can do some short quick reviews on them! So here we go...
Prom (2011)
Starring: Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell
Rating: PG
My Rating: 3 stars
This one's a cute tween/disney "family" movie, as there's a whole load of disney stuff which you usually find in movies such as High School Musical...just without the singing.
I thought it was kinda predictable, and I found the main character kind of annoying. But I like the whole Valentine's Day thing where they show different stories about prom. I really loved Lloyd's story, 'cause it was kinda cute how he uses different tactics in order to ask a girl out to prom. And Rolo was so funny :P
Cute but clichéd movie overall, and would only highly recommend to tweens.

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet
Rating: PG-13
My Rating: 4.5 stars
Okay, I can't believe it myself that I've only watched THIS movie NOW. But I can totally see why this movie won so many awards. It's amazing! The whole story is so tragic :( But one thing which proves that I'm pretty close to a robot: I didn't cry. I couldn't really see why anyone would, except for the ending and stuff, but yeah. One thing I kind found weird was the effects and stuff, 'cause honestly, it looked really fake.
Totally recommend this movie if you want something tragic and romantic, but unlike Prom, wouldn't recommend to kids and younger teens, 'cause my mom had to do quite a bit of fast forwarding!
Okay, so those were the two films I saw recently, and here's two questions for you:
Which movie did YOU like out of the above?
and
What movie did YOU recently see and liked?
**Pick which movie I see next by answering the poll at the top of the sidebar!**
LOL, my sister and I went and saw Prom at the theater and there was one other person; and older 40-50 something guy. We thought that was weird but whatever. Half way through he left and we we had lots of fun making up soap opera stories for the characters.
